Book of Remembrance entry

M.C., M.B., Ch.M., F.R.A.C.S. : Captain, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt and Palestine. Enlisting 9th November, 1916, and sailing 10th May, 1917, served with Australian Camel Corps from September at Maghaba, Rafa, Gaza I and II and on to Es Salt. On regt. becoming 15th A.L.H. in August, 1918, remained with it in Syria till invalided in October and on recovery was R.M.O. 8th A.L.H. until demobilisation. Awarded M.C. at Khuweilfeh in November, 1917, and Mentioned in Despatches. Tutor in Surgery. Early education at Manly Superior Public and Sydney High Schools.
