David, William Edgeworth

Book of Remembrance entry

M.C., M.B., Ch.M. : Captain, R.A.M.C., B.E.F., England and France. Sailing in November, 1914, and Enlisting in London 10th January, 1915, served at Tidworth, Basingstoke and Chiselden Camps. Crossing to France, was R.M.O. 6th Cameron Highlanders from July, 1915, at Loos, Somme, Arras and elsewhere till gassed 13th July, 1917, wounded at Passchendaele on 31st and evacuated to hospital. Awarded M.C. in 1917 and Mentioned in Despatches. Early education at Sydney Grammar School. Later at St. Paul's College.
