Book of Remembrance entry
M.A. : Chaplain, N.Z.E.F,. France and Germany. Enlisting at Christchurch 23rd April, 1916, and sailing on 25th, was attached to New Zealand Field Artillery until the Armistice and then to Army of Occupation, serving till demobilisation. Early education at Carncote and High School, Palmerston North, N.Z. Later at St. Paul's College.
