LL.B. : Gunner, 105th Howitzer Battery, A.I.F., France. Enlisting in April, 1917, and sailing 19th December, spent a few months in 2nd Divisional Ammunition Column, then with battery as driver in fighting along the Somme, through Hindenburg Line and until demobilisation. Early education at Holy Cross College, Ryde.
