B.E., A.M.I.E.Aust. : Sapper, 8th Field Coy., Engineers, A.I.F., France. Enlisting n th December, 1915, and sailing 21st March, 1916, with 15th Reinforcements 3rd Field Coy., arrived in England via Egypt 8th June. Crossing to France in November, joined 8th Coy. and served at the Somme, Lagnicourt, Polygon Wood, Broodeseinde, Messines sector, Villers-Bretonneux, Peronne, Bellicourt and elsewhere until demobilisation. Early education at Burwood Superior Public and Sydney High Schools.
