Arts and Military Science : Captain, 13th Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting in December, 1915, and sailing 7th October, 1916, after being commissioned 9th June, joined battn. in France and served at Bullecourt, Messines, Hebuterne and Villers-Bretonneux, where wounded 6th May and evacuated to hospital and thence to Australia, being demobilised medically unfit eight months later, in February, 1920. Promoted lieutenant, 14th December, 1916; captain, 10th May, 1918. Author of History of 13th Battalion, A.I.F. Member S.U. Scouts, 1907-08. Member of Teachers' College.
