Book of Remembrance entry
Econ. : Sergeant, 4th Battn., A.I.F., France and England. Enlisting 23rd August, 1915, and sailing 23rd December, fought in France from 31st March, 1916, at Fleurbaix, the Somme and elsewhere until invalided to hospital in February, 1917. From the following June, being unfit for further Active Service, remained on Base duty in England until demobilisation. Early education at Petersham Public and Sydney High Schools.
