B.D.S. : Corporal, 15th Battery, A.F.A., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 30th December, 1915, and sailing 29th July, 1916, served at Montauban, Bullecourt, Ypres, Somme, Villers-Bretonneux and until demobilisation, although gassed at Railway Dugouts, 13th October, 1917. Early education at Worcester (Eng.), Cape Town Grammar School, Liverpool (Eng.) and Fort St. High School.
