Book of Remembrance entry
Vet. Sci. I : Sergeant, 2nd Coy., Divisional Train, A.I.F., Egypt and Gallipoli. Enlisting in December, 1914, and sailing in March, 1915, served with unit in A.L.H. composite regiment towards Tripoli and with 2nd Coy. of Divisional Train at Gallipoli. Then was outside Mex for some time and invalided to Australia in April, 1917. Re-enlisted with Artillery, but was discharged medically unfit after a few months in camp. Early education at Fort St. High and Sydney Church of England Grammar Schools.
