Not listed in the Book of Remembrance.Challis Professor of Engineering. Associated with the manufacture of munitions, the calibration of testing machines and the certification of steel. In 1916 he became chairman of a committee responsible for the New South Wales Aviation School at Richmond and he tested Australian timber for aeroplane construction.
