Mr George Warnes appeared to have been born into a large extended farming family based at Burra. The name of their property is Woolgangi Station. Up to this day, Woolgangi is still owned and operated by Warnes family. It is not clear whether Mr Woolgangi actually had ownership of the farm or he was helping manage the farm.
