M.B., Ch.M., M.R.A.C.P. • Gunner, 25th Bde., A.F.A.,A.I.F., France. Enlisting in January, 1916, and sailing 30th September, arrived in France in January, 1917, and fought at Armentieres, Houplines, Fleurbaix, Messines, Menin Road, Polygon Wood and Ypres, being wounded at Glencorse Wood 26th September. After being in hospital at Boulogne and Rouen in October and November, returned to battery and served at Ploegsteert Wood, Amiens and Villers-Bretonneux, the August Offensive, St. Quentin, Hindenburg Line and elsewhere until demobilisation. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
