Book of Remembrance entry
Arts : Lieutenant, 1st Machine Gun Battn. and A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 15th July, 1915, and sailing 20th March, 1916, with 1st Australian Field Ambulance, was stretcher-bearer in France from 29th July, 1916, to September, 1917, when sent to Officers Training Corps, Oxford. Returning to France as second-lieutenant, joined 1st M.G. Battn. and served until demobilisation. Promoted lieutenant, 5th November, 1918. Member of Teachers' College.
