M.B., Ch.M. : Sergeant, 13th and 45th Battns., A.I.F., Gallipoli. Enlisting in October, 1914, and sailing with 13th Battn. 22nd December, served from the Anzac Landing till 16th May, when returned to Egypt. Transferring to 45th Battn. 3rd March, 1916, was promoted sergeant on 15th and returned to Australia in July to continue medical course. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
