B.E. : Private, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 1st February, 1917, and sailing 6th May, served with No. 2 Australian Casualty Clearing Station until March, 1919, and then with No. 3 A.C.C.S. until 3rd April. Demobilised after five months' non-military employment, on return to Australia. Early education at Cleveland St. Public School.
