W.C.; Queen's; M.A. (awarded posthumously 21.4.17), 2nd class final honours in History and Economics.
15.3.15; sailed 4.6.15, Pte. 6th Fld. Amb.; served in Egypt and Gallipoli, and after evacuation went to Lemnos December 1915; from Egypt to France March 1916.
Killed in action at Flers on IIth November 1916 by a fragment of H.E. shell. (Before death he had been recommended for M.M., but it was not awarded posthumously.)
