W.C.; Articled Clerks' course; admitted 1907; was in practice as a solicitor in Yea; well known at Wesley for his school songs and verses; had reached the rank of Capt. in the 7th A. Light Horse (V.M.R.).
Offered for active service at outbreak of war, and was on duty in Royal Park Camp till appointed to Overseas Forces 25.9.16; sailed 16.12.16, Lieut. 14th Btn.
After three months at the front, he was killed in action in Belgium on 24th September, 1917.
