Book of Remembrance entry

O.B.E., M.D., M.S. (Glas.), Fellow of St. Paul's College : Lieutenant-Colonel, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., England and France. On appointment as major 20th August, 1915, was allotted to Auxiliary Hospital, London, transferring to A.I.F. H.Q. in October and thence to No. 3 London General Hospital. On 20th February, 1917, crossed to No. 3 A.G.H., Abbeville, serving with it until the Armistice, when re-transferred to A.I.F. H.Q., returning in May, 1920. Promoted lieutenant-colonel, 18th September, 1917. Awarded O.B.E. 3rd June, 1919, and Mentioned in Despatches. A.M.F. : Hon. Captain, A.A.M.C., 22nd November, 1909. Hon. Consulting Gynaecological Surgeon, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
