B.D.S. : Gunner, 101st Battery, A.F.A., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 8th October, 1916, and sailing with 13th Reinforcements 5th Field Artillery Brigade 10th February, 1917, joined battery 25th November at Passchendaele and served at Hazebrouck, Strazeele, the August Offensive on the Somme and until demobilisation. Early education at Newington College.
