Book of Remembrance entry
LL.B. : Lieutenant (Acting Captain), R.G.A., B.E.F., France. Sailing privately to England, enlisted in London 31st December, 1916, joined Officers Training Corps, Trowbridge, and was commissioned 1st September, 1917. Crossing to France immediately, served continuously till three months after the Armistice, returning to Australia on demobilisation. Promoted lieutenant, 1st March, 1918, later being acting captain. Early education at Turramurra and Barker Colleges.
