Book of Remembrance entry
B.A., LL.B. : Lieutenant, 42nd Battery, A.F.A. and 12th Light Trench Mortar Battery, A.I.F., France. Enlisting 31st May, 1916, and sailing 19th December as corporal, Artillery reinforcements, joined 12th L.T.M. Battery in France in July, 1917. Transferring to 42nd Battery in December, was sent in May, 1918, to No. 2 Officers Cadet School, Exeter, and commissioned in January, 1919. Rejoining n th Brigade at Aiguimont in February, served until demobilisation. Promoted lieutenant, April, 1919. Early education at The King's School. Later at St. Paul's College.
