Not on original Roll of Honour. William C. Stillman, Dip. Public Admin. (Melb.) Stillman began his career as a teacher before moving into the civil service just before the outbreak of WWI. He enlisted for service March 1915 and served with the Army Pay Corps attached to AIF HQ in Egypt. Returning to Australia October 1919 he went on to have an exemplary career in the Commonwealth Public Service serving primarily in the Department of Markets and Migration. Stillman was the first to graduate from the University of Melbourne with a Diploma of Public Administration December 1933. He died suddenly in 1940 and was missed greatly by his wife, children and colleagues.
