M.D., Ch.M., F.R.A.C.S., Tutor in Surgery : Lieutenant- Colonel, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt and France. Enlisting 2nd October, 1915, organized No. 2 Australian Casualty Clearing Station as O.C. in Melbourne and, sailing 23rd November, remained at Ferry Post and Ismailia till April, 1916. Then after crossing to England, was sent to Trois Arbres near Steenwercke, established the C.C.S. there and remained with it till March, 1917, then applying for return to Australia and arriving in July. Mentioned in Despatches. Hon. Consulting Surgeon, Sydney Hospital. Early education at Singleton Public and Maitland High Schools. Later at St. Andrew's College with one year in Arts.
