M.B., F.R.C.S. : Major, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Gallipoli, Egypt, France and England. Enlisting and sailing in May, 1915, as R.M.O. 17th Battn., served with it in Gallipoli, Egypt and France until 22nd November, 1916, when transferred to No. 3 Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Dartford. Was with No. 2 Australian General Hospital, Wimereux, from 14th July, 1917, and 10th Australian Field Ambulance from 16th October till the end of the War, being on non-military employment and extended leave from 8th January, 1919, to 30th May, 1920, and returning in August. Promoted major, 27th April, 1917. Early education at Fort Street Model School.
