Econ. : Trooper, 12th A.L.H. Regt., A.I.F., Palestine and Egypt. Enlisting 23rd May, 1916, and sailing 9th December, joined regt. at Ferry Post in March, 1917, and served at Gaza'II and III, Beersheba and the Advance from Gaza to Jerusalem. In 1918 fought in Battle of Amman II, Jordan Valley and Advance to Damascus and Aleppo until Turkish surrender. Was in action in Nile Valley during Egyptian Rising in March, 1919, then returning for demobilisation. Member of Teachers' College.
