Econ. : Lieutenant, 5th Divisional Artillery, A.I.F., France. Member of Teachers' College. Enlisting 4th October, 1915, and sailing in January, 1916, with Field Artillery reinforcements, joined 13th Brigade 28th March, being sent to 25th on 26th September and back to 13th on 24th January, 1917, with promotion to corporal 4th February. Transferred to 5th Divisional Medium Trench Mortar Battery 8th March, 1918, becoming Education Officer 5th Divisional Artillery Column in December and on troopship Orita in June, 1919. Promoted second-lieutenant, 13th February, 1918, and lieutenant, 13th May.
