M.B., Ch.M. : Major, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., England and France. Enlisting in June, 1915, and sailing 15th July, was at H.Q., London, from September to June, 1916, except for part of December when Registrar at Harefield Hospital. Then served at A.I.F. Depots in U.K. till June, 1917, when appointed to No. 2 Australian General Hospital, Wimereux. Joined 3rd Australian Field Ambulance in August, being O.C. from December, 1918, till March, 1919, and then on non-military employment prior to demobilisation. Promoted major, 24th August, 1917. A.M.F. : Lieutenant-Colonel, A.A.M.C., O.C. 8th A.F.Amb. Early education at Hayfield Preparatory, Wolaroi (Orange), and Sydney Church of England Grammar Schools. Later at St. Paul's College with one year in Arts.
