Book of Remembrance entry

B.V.Sc. : Lieutenant, noth and 15th Batteries, A.F.A., A.I.F., France and England. Enlisting 15th May, 1916, and sailing 30th September as sergeant with 117th Howitzer Battery, crossed to France early in January, 1917, with reinforcements, retaining rank. Served with 4th Divisional Ammunition Column and two weeks later joined noth Battery at Flers, being wounded there 24th February and again at Bullecourt 13th May. Commissioned with same battery in November after the Ypres offensive and immediately sent to 15th, remaining with it until after the Armistice. During 1919 engaged in demobilisation work in England, returning in December. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
