B.A., LL.B. : Captain, 30th Battn., A.I.F., France and England. Enlisting 2nd August, 1915, and sailing 16th March, 1916, as second-lieutenant, joined battn. in France 22nd June. Served until demobilisation except from February to June, 1918, when with training camp in England and when wounded at Bellicourt 29th September, 1918. Promoted lieutenant In the Field , 25th November, 1916; captain, 1st November, 1917. Early education at Fort St. Model School.
