O.B.E., B.E. : Captain, R.E., British India Force, India. Applying at Rangoon in December, 1914, was commissioned in Indian Army Reserve of Officers in May, 1915, and served on garrison duty in Northern India. Early education at East Maitland and Sydney Grammar Schools.
