M.B., Ch.M. : Major, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Gallipoli and Egypt. Enlisting 20th November, 1914, and sailing 5th December, served with 1st Australian Casualty Clearing Station at the Anzac Landing, and afterwards in Egypt. Died of Illness, at Sea, 21st July, 1915. A.M.F. : Lieutenant, A.A.M.C., 1st Military District (Queensland), 13th February, 1904; captain, Area Medical Officer, Mt. Morgan, 1st October, 1905; major, R.M.O. 15th A.L.H. Regt., 26th March, I 9I3-Early education at Launceston Public School.
