Book of Remembrance entry

B.A., LL.B. : Lieutenant, 8th Light Trench Mortar Battery, A.I.F., France. Enlisting 23rd September, 1915, and sailing 7th October, 1916, as second-lieutenant with reinforcements, joined 31st Battn. and was seconded to 8th L.T.M. Battery on the Somme, 4th March, 1917. Was in heavy fighting until severely wounded at Bullecourt 3rd May, rejoining battery on recovery and serving until death. Promoted lieutenant, n th August, 1917. Killed in Action, Mericourt, 4th July, 1918, while in charge of four light trench mortars, and buried in Mericourt l 'Abbe Communal Cemetery Extension. Early education at Fort St. High School. His life was pure, he died as he lived
