M.B. : Major, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt, Gallipoli and Palestine. Enlisting 20th August, 1914, and sailing 18th October with 1st A.L.H. Field Ambulance, returned 4th August, 1915. Re-embarking 23rd October, rejoined ambulance 12th January, 1916, returning to Australia in February, 1917. Promoted major, 1st January, 1916.
