Book of Remembrance entry
Pharmacy : Lieutenant, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Gallipoli, Egypt, France and Germany. Enlisting 9th March, 1915, and sailing 25th June, served at Anzac as staff-sergeant dispenser until the Evacuation, and, transferring to 5th Brigade in Egypt in March, 1916, was promoted warrant officer in May while crossing to France. Was promoted hon. lieutenant 1st December, 1917, serving as dispenser, 3rd Australian Casualty Clearing Station, in France until the Armistice and then for three months in the Army of Occupation at Euskirchen till return for demobilisation. Early education at Windsor Public School and Barker College.
