Enlisting 29th September, 1916, and sailing 26th October, served with battn. during 1917, being wounded at Bullecourt, 3rd May, and Menin Road 6th October, whence invalided to Australia, arriving 28th March, 1918. Early education at Woodford Academy and Newington College.
