Book of Remembrance entry

M.B., B.S. : Lieutenant, R.A.F., Egypt and Palestine; also A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Gallipoli and France. Enlisting in February, 1915, and sailing in March, was with 5th Australian Ambulance as stretcher-bearer at Gallipoli from August until the Evacuation and in France until injured, returning to Australia in January, 1917, and being discharged medically unfit. Graduating from N.S.W. Government Flying School, Richmond, joined R.A.F. at Alexandria in April, 1918, and was commissioned 19th September, continuing to serve until October, 1919, when he returned to Australia. Early education at St. Mark's, Darling Point, and Sydney Grammar Schools.
