Book of Remembrance entry

M.M., B.A. : Lance-Corporal, 3rd Battn., A.I.F., Gallipoli and France. Enlisting in September, 1914, and sailing 22nd December, served from the Landing to the Evacuation at Gallipoli, and in France as H.Q. Signaller in Armentieres sector and the Battle of Pozieres till death. Awarded M.M. posthumously and Mentioned in Despatches several times. Killed in Action, Pozieres, 22-27 July, 1916, and buried in Adanac Military Cemetery, Miraumont. Early education at West Tamworth Superior Public School. Later at St. Andrew's College as Divinity Student.
