Book of Remembrance entry

B.E., A.M.I.E.Aust. : Sergeant, 5th Bde., A.F.A., A.I.F., Egypt and France. Enlisting 8th September, 1915, and sailing 18th November, served on Suez Canal Defences. Crossing to France in March, 1916, fought in Armentieres, Somme and Ypres sectors until wounded at Le Sars, 1st March, 1917, and invalided to Australia, arriving 20th November and remaining in hospital for a further six months. Attended Sydney Technical College.
