28.4.15, 2/Lt. 24th Btn.; sailed 10.5.15; Lieut. in Egypt 26.8.15; to Gallipoli 30.8.15; wounded at Lone Pine and invalided to Egypt 12.12.15; served in Canal Zone, and went to France 19.3.16; T/Capt. 1.4.16; Capt. 1.5.16; Major 12.8.16. Awarded D.S.O. for capturing a machine gun at Pozieres 5.8.16, and decorated by the King on 5.10.16.
Killed in action at Flers on 14th November 1916.
