Book of Remembrance entry
V.D., M.D., M.L.C. : Lieutenant-Colonel, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt and Gallipoli. Enlisting as lieutenant-colonel 19th October, 1914, was appointed second in command, No. 2 Australian General Hospital and served in Egypt from January to December, 1915, visiting Gallipoli in October. Was also for a time in charge of No. 4 Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Abbassia, returning to Australia in January, 1916.
