Book of Remembrance entry

M.B., Ch.M.; F.R.C.S. (Edin.) : Gunner, 18th Battery, A.F.A., A.I.F., France. Enlisting in August, 1916, and sailing 25th October, joined battery near Bapaume in April, 1917, being at Messines, Nieuport and Ypres till invalided to hospital in September. Rejoining unit near Bailleul in November, fought at Ypres, Messines, Somme and the Advance of 8th August, 1918, from near Villers-Bretonneux to Hindenburg Line near Peronne. Remained in action in support of American Infantry until 25th October at St. Souplet near Cambrai, serving till demobilisation. Early education at The Armidale School. Later at St. Andrew's College.
