Enlisting 27th January, 1916, and sailing 9th April, joined battn. in June, serving at Fleurbaix, Somme, Hindenburg Line, Ypres, Villers-Bretonneux and elsewhere until demobilisation, although wounded near Le Transloy in November, 1916.
