Pharmacy : Lieutenant, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France and Sea Transport Service. Enlisting in May, 1915, and sailing 5th November as staff-sergeant with a small detachment of 8th Australian Field Ambulance, served through all 5th Division main engagements until September, 1918. Then promoted lieutenant and transferred to No. 3 Sea Transport Section, returning in November. Early education at Birchgrove Public and Fort St. High Schools.
