Book of Remembrance entry
B.Ec. : Lieutenant, 33rd Battn., A.I.F., France and England. Enlisting in December, 1915, and sailing 5th May, 1916, as lieutenant, fought with 52nd Battn. in the Somme Battle with 14th Coy. A.A.S.C. for a month. Was with battn. in Ypres and Armentieres sectors, at Hangard Wood, Villers-Bretonneux, Bray and Mont St. Quentin, being wounded at Passchendaele 12th October, 1917, and gassed at Villers-Bretonneux 18th April, 1918. After the Armistice appointed Adjutant, A.I.F. Education Service at H.Q., Tidworth, serving until demobilisation. Member of Teachers' College.
