K.C., B.A., LL.B., Challis Lecturer in Common Law : Lieutenant, 1st M.G. and 4th Battns., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 26th November, 1916, and sailing 10th February, 1917, joined 4th Battn. in France in September. Was commissioned in June, 1918, and joined 1st Machine Gun Battn., remaining with it until the Armistice, when attached to A.I.F. Education Scheme until demobilisation. Mentioned in Despatches. University Medallist B.A. (Classics) and LL.B. Wigram Allen Scholar. Early education at Sydney Grammar School (Captain).
