B.E. : Lieutenant, 3rd Field Coy., Engineers, A.I.F., France. Enlisting in 1915 and sailing with 18th Reinforcements 2nd Field Coy. as second-lieutenant 2nd May, 1916, attended R.E. School at Deganwy, North Wales, as Draft Officer to Australian Bases, England-France. Crossing to France in January, 1917, joined 3rd Coy. 5th March and was wounded at Hermies 9th April. Died of Wounds, on the road to Casualty Clearing Station, 9th April, 1917, and was buried in Morchies Australian Cemetery. Demonstrator in Civil Engineering, 1913-14. Research Scholar, 1915. Early education at Marist Brothers' High School, St. Mary's Cathedral, and St. Joseph's College.
