McKINLEY, JAMES GORDON. 1901.
U.H.S.; former student of Engineering; went to Royal School of Mines in 1904, obtained Diploma in 1906, and was elected Assoc. Inst. Mining and Metallurgy, London, in 1909. When war broke out was manager of Tarquah and Abossa Mines, Gold Coast.
Enlisted while on furlough in England, and obtained commission in R.F.C.; afterwards transferred to R.G.A. While assisting a wounded Despatch Rider near Ypres he was hit by a shell, and died of his wounds the following day, 3rd June 1915.
