Book of Remembrance entry

M.B., Ch.M. : Major, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Gallipoli, Egypt, France and England. Enlisting 23rd March, 1915, and sailing 10th April, served with No. 1 Australian Stationary Hospital, from 25th September to 12th December, 1916, at Zeitoun, Gallipoli, Lemnos, Ismailia and England. Then joining 8th Australian Field Ambulance in France, was R.M.O. 31st Battn. from 6th March to 5th May, 1917. Returning to ambulance, was wounded at Bellewaarde Ridge, Passchendaele, in October, 1917, and evacuated to 3rd London General Hospital. On recovery was S.M.O. No. 3 Command Depot, Hurdcott, in 1918 and returned to Australia 26th November. Promoted major, 1st December, 1916.
