B.Sc. and Eng. : Private, 13th Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 5th January, 1916, was company sergeant-major, Training unit, and sailed 8th October. Crossing to France 28th November, was wounded at Stormy Trench 4th February, 1917, and evacuated to England and Australia, arriving 14th November. Early education at St. Patrick's College, Goulburn.
