Book of Remembrance entry
Law I : Captain, 13th Battn., A.I.F., Egypt and France. Enlisting 15th May, 1915, was commissioned 16th February, 1916, and, sailing 16th April as O.C. 16th Reinforcements, was appointed O.C. Training Battn. Machine Gun Coy., Zeitoun, on arrival. Later rejoining battn. and crossing with it to France, was wounded 8th August and taken prisoner at Mouquet Farm, spending two and a quarter years in Germany and returning to Australia in March, 1919, appointment being terminated 3rd January, 1920. Promoted lieutenant, 15th August, 1918; captain, 1st April, 1919. Early education at Fort St. Model School.
